Still a Ways to Go » Sun, Oct 29th 2006 9:34 am
I found a toy car on the side of the road while wandering around the on-ramp to the 401 near Alyson’s house. I’d purchased a polarizer for use the day before and figured I’d get a little more use out of it before I returned it. The road was pretty dead as it’s not a busy ramp, so I plopped the car (a character from Disney’s Cars) near the centre line and snapped this.
It’s one of my favourites, as it’s probably the furthest I’ve every gone to get a photo. Lying down in the middle of the road to take a picture of a toy car felt pretty wacky. I love the result, though.

That horrible cover of “life is a highway” keeps blasting into my brain every time i look at this photo. His voice is just so high and sounds as though that stupid octave change effect (like in that cher song) is constantly layering his vocals.
