Winter in HDR » Sat, Feb 17th 2007 10:46 am

Yesterday, not having done so in a while, I took my camera and tripod for a walk. The weather had warmed up to a nice -5 degrees Celsius, and the sun was just on its way down, so conditions were pretty much ideal.

I took three shots using exposure bracketing. -2, 0, +2. Then I went home and ran them through some HDR software to eventually build this. Well, a lot of this. The result was sort of trippy, so I desaturated a few of the colours to make it look a little more realistic.

I plan on doing a lot more of these, but probably not until it gets warm enough that I’m not in such a hurry to get home.

    I love it!

I’ve read a lot about HDR photos. I’m definitely going to have to try it sometime.
