Turns out washing my glasses in hot water was extremely unwise.

See, my lenses were very lightly scratched and I figured some hot water would somehow soften the lens and they’d heal or some crazy stupid sh*t like that. Well, “heal” they did not. In fact, I think I heard them screaming while the protective coating was cracking away. “Protective coating” my ass…

Needless to say, my lenses are ruined and I’m squinting to read this. I dug up an old pair of glasses from my youth, and it turns out they’re almost as bad as the ones I killed today. I’m not very good with delicate things…

Well, I’m off to ponder what look my optometrist is going to give me when I hand him the slaughtered remains of my glasses and toss him my phony ‘surprised’ look. Oh my…

Lesson learned.
