Sweet deals o'plenty! » Tue, Dec 28th 2004 10:05 am
So yesterday Chris heads to the mall to exchange my infrared camera remote for a cable shutter remote (something I can use from behind the camera) and while at Henry’s, he spots my 55-200 lens for over $100 cheaper than what Future Shop was asking… Even better, he spots a 75-300 lens for STILL over $100 cheaper than what Future Shop wanted for the 55-200. Same lens. Identical.
So now I have a 75-300 instead of the 55-200, and my Mom saved money. I’ve lost the range from 56-74, but gained the whole 201-300! Honestly, who uses 56-74 anyway?
And there’s more: The day before (Boxing Day) my parents braved the malls and came home with 4 PlayStation2 games, 4 rechargeable battery/charger combo packs, and 3 fat-stacks of DVD-Rs.
Saving money is awesome, but in the end you’ve spent far more than what you would’ve had there not been any sales…
